  Creating Customer Accounts. eCommerce Manager module lets you ask - or require -- customers to set up an account with a username and password. The Synergy eCommerce solution recalls their information (excluding credit card number) when they return to the site, enabling them to check out more quickly. You get to the ability to review all orders by a particular customer in an easily searchable, sortable list - information you can use to target specific customers and reward them with special offers or discounts.
  Processing Credit Card Payments in Real-Time. You can instantly confirm payment and save time by eliminating manual handling and unpaid orders. You just fill in your payment-processing, company-supplied username and password and Synergy eCommerce software will connect automatically to process customer credit cards in real time. In the event of a bad credit card number, the system records the order as failed in the administrative area. This lets you follow up with the customer if you want. An Internet-enabled credit card merchant account is required for real-time credit card processing.
  Automatic Tax and Shipping Calculations. Synergy eCommerce Software Manager lets you specify and calculate a tax percentage and whether to charge tax only for a particular state or states. You can choose from predefined shipping service levels from multiple carriers and the system will automatically calculate shipping costs in real time through an XML feed. Synergy eCommerce Manager shows the customer shipping costs to the customer as soon as enough information is provided to calculate them.
  Offering Discounts and Promotions. You can use Synergy e-Commerce Software to set up discount codes and associated discount percentages with no time limit or for specific periods. Customers can review the shopping cart contents, enter a code and Synergy eCommerce Manager will automatically recalculate prices with the discount applied. You can also specify a discounted price for an individual product, and either offer it to all customers or only to those who buy a certain number of products.
  Managing Resellers and Manufacturers. Synergy eCommerce Manager lets you track manufacturers, enabling you to provide links to their websites for instructions or more information. You can also assign resellers or affiliates a code so you can track referrals. In both cases, you can monitor performance and improve information exchange.
  Inventory Tracking. As an option, Synergy eCommerce software also lets you enable inventory tracking at either basic or advanced levels. Basic inventory tracking allows you to simply specify whether an item is in or out of stock. Advanced inventory tracking lets you specify a number of items initially in stock, and keeps track of the number of items successfully purchased for that item.
